If you are talking about Sakura from the Alpha series then I'd have to commend you. Her style does not suit me at all, I usually like to tap my opponents with light combos and punish them big for making mistakes... Rose and Charlie is perfect at that. Charlie not only suit my style but I can push and be aggressive as hell with him too, which makes him extremely cheap in many peoples' eyes.

Charlie > Guile IMO

Heh there's nothing more fun than challenging some random stranger playing sf2 (or any of the later sf's). I win in the local arcades, but got my ass handed to me in Japan.

Actually I'm pretty bad can barely parry or do combo's. Just rely on really cheap trip up attacks and fireballs / uppercuts. I try to use Ryu, but Chun Li is the easiest.

I agree, Charlie outweighs Guile by a ton and yes I do mean from the Alpha series. Although I think Sakura was the most powerful in the EX line up. Some of her stronger attacks were devastating if they connected.

In SFEX, Sakura was an absolute monster. One mistake againse a good Sakura player, and you'd be on the end of a 20+ hit Triple/Super combo and over 50% of your energy would disappear. I wept when they took her out of that series. She was also a killer in the first Rival Schools. I wept when they took her out of that series too.

Hokuto from SFEX is an absolute monster as well once you know the ins and outs of her attacks... maybe its just me but I never go for the popular characters first. There is always a higher degree of difficulty of learning and it turns out more rewarding once you mastered the not so popular characters.

Hokuto benefitted from having the most useful normal attacks in the whole game. If you were familiar enough with your opponent, you could go throughout the whole match using here standing and low Roundhouse kicks, her overhead Fierce and standing and low Jabs.

I do agree on the less popular characters. Once you have a grasp on how to play them, you usually have a leg up on other players because they aren't used as often. On SFEX I would use Allen, Kairi, C.Jack (absolute f'n monster), or (if I really want to piss my opponent off) Darun and Skullo.

Wow I can't believe I forgot to mention Kairi in the EX series. Talk about a powerful character.

And Skullomania is the worst character ever created. I hate him.

Skullo was a handful if you knew how to use him. I would send a lot of the guys I played against into fits when I used him. He can poke and zone really effectively, and the ability to interrupt specials with supers made him a pain to punish on certain moves.

I HAD TO BUMP THIS THREAD

Street Fighter 4 trailer is here... looks like the game will be 3d cel shaded probably with 2d fighting engine like sf ex. Personally I like the cel shading cause it is stylized instead of going for that formal looking 3d graphics.

And here is the reason why I love playing Ibuki....this dude's skills are completely beyond mine though.
