Street Fighter

I just bought Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting for my Wii last week. I've always loved Street Fighter since I was really young. My brother and I played it a lot on the SNES. I have seen Calibretto9 with an E.Honda avatar and J Stokes with a Zangief avatar too. Also Kam use to have Akuma ages ago if I remember correctly so I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread. My favourite character would probably be Ken. Sagat is pretty awesome to use aswell.

I have only played Street Fighter when I was young...and combos were impossible for me. So, I just punched the guy to death

Gotta go with Ibuki from SF3: 3rd Strike

It's a real shame 2d fighters are not as popular as they used to be.

Ken is the way to go. Who do you think gave Sagat that scar across his chest?

There are other times when I like to use Blanka but Ken is my favourite.

yha I use to play it too. years ago I looked just like ryu so he was my favorit character but as time went on I started likeing ether e.honda and Guile.

my friend and I use to play it all the time. He would be Ryu and beat me all the time. finally I picked e honda and just kept doing the move where he threw punches constanly so he couldnt touch me and when ever he threw one of the fire balls I would jump over it and kick him. he got so pissed at me. I know it was cheep but he wouldnt let me use ryu and at the time that was the only character I knew how to use and I am the one that told him how.

I have that game but I have hardly played it. I use Ken and just go crazy with button mashing.. It seems okay but I kind of like the original characters more.

Ryu is so hard to verse on the harder difficulties all he does is the Hadouken and when you jump over it and try to use the Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku, he then hits you with the Shoryuken. This is when I am using Ken. When I try to get close and get all Gilbert Yvel on his ass, he throws me. He's so hard..

Street Fighter was great, but to be completely truthful, I wasn't all that good. I absolutely loved me some Vampire Hunter/Darkstalkers II. Felicia or Morrigan were absolute demons in the right hands. I even got to the point of tooling people using Bishamon and Anakaris.

I did do quite a bit of SFII after Super SFII came out, but I gave up on it once my younger brother started Spinning Pile-Driving me to death.

I love the EX Series of Street Fighter games (most people hate them). But a lot of the controls benefitted from a bigger control buffer due to the increased number of animation frames. I've had almost no real exposure to any of the other Street Fighters.

BTW - I was the one with the Akuma avatar. I got it from the Sprite Rips section of the Video Game Museum.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree... As long as I don't bore you and I spark a moment of thought, my goal is achieved.

I used to love that game. I would kick some MAJOR ass with Chun-Li. I also was kinda decent with that Indian guy...can't remember his name but he threw fire and had really stretchy arms and legs.

My Favorites:

Kendall Grove
Andrei Arlovski
Nick Diaz
Jens Pulver
Spencer Fisher
Sean Sherk
Corey Hill
