The only thing better will be the graphics, but if you dont have a nice choice of games to show off those graphics, then you arent getting what you paid $600 for.

It comes out like Nov 11 or 17, I believe

It sounds like it's going to be great but $999.99 AU is not cool. I'll stick with my PS2. My brother does want to get a 360 though, I think.

The price is a downer and I will wait at least a year until I buy one.

Ill wait for a while too but i hope their graphics look alot better or the wait wont be worth it or the price. Hoping for an MMA game soon, with graphics like the fight night boxing game.

Im was going to get one this month but decided to wait. The first Ps3's releases are usually the ones that have problems. If i see they are no problems with it Ill get it February since thats when they will release more. From what I heard the controllers are wireless, its 2 x more powerful then Xbox 360 and 15 x more powerful then PS2. I know for a fact the graphics are going to be awesome.

I got home at 11:30 because I was holding a spot for my friend at Wal-Mart so he can buy the game. It cost $599 for the 60GB PS3 and $499 for the 20GB PS3. He is going to get the $599 PS3 and then sell it on eBay for at least $1,000. People are just desperate to get one that on eBay right now people will buy them for as much as $2,300. The people in line with him are doing the same thing buy the system at $599 and then selling for more than $1,000. The messed up thing is that at some Wal-Marts you have to wait outside and it's like 35 degrees right now, but he is lucky because he is at the Wal-Mart with the cool manager and let them stay inside and he even gave them some cookies and free sodas. I'll swing by tomorrow and keep him company.

you have to remember that the PS3 price has alot to do with the fact that it comes with a Blu-ray DVD(HD)capabilities. A Blu-ray DVD player itself runs around about $1,000. So for $600 getting a machine that has great graphics, and plays Blu-ray DVDs you are getting a pretty good deal.

Plus it also comes with free online play. I know XBOX 360 has free online play also, but if you want the premium service, you have to pay for it. With the PS3 it all comes free.

With all that said. I'm holding out for a bit to see if I am gonna buy a PS3 or XBOX 360. I was originally planning on just getting a PS3 when it came out as I have been a PS supporter for years. But with the new HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD technology, I'm not sure which one to go with. It's sort of like the difference between VHS and Beta, back in the day. I want to see which one looks like it's gonna hold up better in the future. I don't want to rush out and pick one and end up having that technology be obsolete.
