Looking for a new fantasy series to read. So far I've narrowed it down to The Dresden Files and The Malazan Book of the Fallen, as I've heard alot about these series (and saw them mentioned here alot too.)

Was just after some opinions on which series I'm more likely to enjoy.. to help out, here are some of my favourite fantasy series.

The Mistborn Trilogy (Brandon Sanderson)
The Painted Man & The Desert Spear (Peter V Brett)
The Night Angel Trilogy (Brent Weeks)

Thanks for any help.

Go with The Malazan Book of the Fallen- can't recommend it enough. I'm on book 6 and it's a fantastic series- one of the best I've read.

The first book of the Mistborn Trilogy I bought recently after having it recommended by a friend but have yet to read it.

It's been awhile since I've posted in here but I finished off Book 5 of the Malazan books, read Jeff Shaara's "To the Last Man" about WWI, a spin off Malazan book "The Night of Knives" by Ian Esselmont and Chelsea Handler's "Are you there Vodka it's me Chelsea.

Shaara's a great writer as always, the malazan spin off was not so great but had good info for the series in it and Handler is one fukking funny lady.

Chelsea handler is ******* hilarious. My wife is a huge fan of her and she actually reminds me a lot of my wife lol.

I just finished the Fall of Cthulu comics, they were most excellent... Thinking about trying to read Preacher again. I've tried like 5 times now but it never catches my interest. Might read House of Leaves again too...

I read part of Are You There Vodka, which I think is her third book, in the store, and I might buy it. It was that much lulz.

Plus, I appreciate the sentiment of the title.

... Dude... I do exactly the same thing Except I normally only skip the first 2. I like Prisoner of Azkaban. Books for children or not, they are absolutely fantastic reads.
