yeah, I just went through a graphic novel phase. I finished Bone and Watchmen about a month ago. And Bone is like 1500 pages. But it was fantastic.

Like Walker said, we're both reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and its very good. IMO its the best fantasy series I've read other than Tolkien's books.

I had also read the Phillip Pullman series " His Dark Materials " recently and enjoyed that. Its the series that " The Golden Compass " came from.

I'm spending most of my reading time in the Wheel of Time series lately but I'm also reading a book about the history or Air Warfare. Its pretty good and gives alot of details about the specific aircraft used as well as the combat aspect of air warfare. Pretty interesting.

Have you read Raymond E Feist's Riftwar series and the successive books all set in the same world? That is my favourite serious fantasy series although Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastards Series is catching up fast.

have you heard of the Malazan books? Steven Erikson? (I don't know if I spelled any of those correctly). I heard that stuff is really good.

I haven't read any of these but I'll check them out.

Another good fantasy series is George RR Martin's " Song of Fire and Ice " series.
