Mind, Language and Society: Philosophy in the Real World by John Searle. I'm having to go slowly due to the compulsive note-taking I may have mentioned before. I have to check and see if it's overdue.

Feeling like a fail because I haven't finished it sooner; however I lingered over The Duty of Genius because I loved it.

Just finished 127 hours. Great book but the last couple days he's stuck made me very anxious to get to where he amputates his arm. Very good read

It is good but short. It goes into a lot of detail about his terrible past and him coming up as a fighter. It was really interesting.

Do not hesitate nor even think about it and start Game of Thrones- I'm halfway through the 4th book of the series and it is freaking amazing. You will not be disappointed.

This. I can't stress enough how much A Song of Ice and Fire (the book series name) should be read by everyone. Even if you don't like fantasy (as really, the fantasy elements aren't exactly high by fantasy standards, just a bit of awesome here and there)

I was reading the 4th book when I heard about the tv show and had to wait ages for the 5th. I loved the show, but the books genuinely put it to shame. The series (covers the first book) lacks so much story and character development (i understand why, but still)

I'd get the books asap, as imo it's far FAR better to read the books first then watch the tv adaption for anything, and with only one series made, and 5 books it's not a bad start

Just finished the Troy Series by Gemmell. It was fantastic. Basically a redone fictional telling of the lead-up, siege, and fall of troy. Well written, awesome characters, and the fight scene between Hektor and Achilles is simply epic. Read it.
