Does anyone have good ideas for a book series? Got nothing to read just now.

The kind of stuff I am into is Song of Ice and Fire, The First Law series, Tales of the Otori, the Troy series etc

I'm really into a good original fantasy series. I got onto book 3 of the wheel of time too but it got so hard going I sacked it.

Thanks to Leakler for the sig

If you haven't read The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson I would highly recommend it. It starts with Gardens of the Moon. The Mistborn trilogy has so far been really good.

I'm currently reading 2 books Life is Yours to Win by Augie Garrido(the Texas Longhorn Baseball coach) and Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson the final book in the Mistborn Trilogy.

Gardens of the Moon was brilliant, I've yet to read the second book though. I haven't read a fantasy with such powerful characters in it before, god damn some of them are insane.

Got Steve Jobs' book for Christmas and finished it in two weeks. It's pretty long, but an eye opener. Very good read. Right now finishing up "World War Z" (huge zombie flick coming out soon) and "The Wolf On Wall Street." The latter is based on Jordan Belfort's life. If you saw "Boiler Room" then you know who he is. He started that shiet partied like a rockstar, married a model, snorted cocaine, did Qualudes, was so fawked up on drugs he sank his own yacht, boned hookers, and made millions. It's a hilarious read!

Halfway through the 3rd installment of the Game of Thrones books. Tbh if some of the stupid decisions were made early in the books I'd probably have put the series down by now.

Catelyn Stark, Daenerys, and Cersei are not fit to be in charge of anything. Holding out hope that Breinne turns out to be a badass in the shows and Rousey is cast as the character

Just started "The Prince" by niccolo machiavelli. The mother of my child is working towards her doctorate in english literature and she was blown away that I'd never heard of this book. As it turns out this book is rather fantastic, although im only shortly into it my mind has been blown with new ideas and realizations.

I want to take back what I said about Daenerys. That was quite the trick she pulled and I loved it

Read the Eastern counterpart two versions actually; AOW by ST. Read a couple of chapters of "The Prince," but never finished it. That book is the single reason why all the Italians always assasinate each other. It's from the Renaissance period of a failed commander in battle ironically. Looks like he was able to write a successful book though. Any read the book of Five Rings.
