Ran through the Revan book in 2-3 days. Enjoyed it so much. Now off to SWTOR to see what happens next.

After watching Boardwalk Empire last weekend I decided to follow up on it at the local bookstore. As I was perusing through the books some homeless bum recommended me "The Butcher." I was like nah...I'm not into that kinda stuff...looking for casinos/mob stuff. Then I watched a documentary then certain mob figures came up like Michael Franzese and Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso who had a book out written by Phillip Carlo (RIP.) After doing some research I realized he (Phillip) wrote a book about a Bonnano Crime family solider named Tommy Pitera aptly named "The Butcher." Needless to say I decided to pick it up and stormed through it in a matter of two days. Pretty fascinating read.

Also half way through with Duhamel's 2010 WSOP book.

Looking back through the thread I see there were some Jim Butcher fans. I just finished the latest Dresden files book, Cold Days. Pretty good stuff.

I've just read Beloved by Toni Morrison, and I didn't like it one bit! I had to read it for the college debate, otherwise I wouldn't bother. Despite the Nobel and the Pulitzer, I can't recommend it to anyone.

I am reading "Kipling's Choice" right now. It is good so far but it is graphic.

The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett. Third book in the Demon Cycle series.

Amazing fantasy books. Extremely deep story and lore. Really enjoying the third installment, maybe not as much as the first and second books, but I still have 150 pages to go. Each main character has such an amazing back story and personality, extremely character driven with some amazing fight sequences with one of the mains becoming more powerful(think god like powers) by the page, though doesn't perfect or immortal. He has obvious flaws and is out numbered and out matched by antagonists of the series. Can't help but care about all the main characters, even if some of them are fuuuucked up.

Love this series.

You read a ton of fantasy books. You ever read Robert Asprin or Asimov.

Finished Jonathan Duhamel's book awhile ago, almost finished with Other People's Money. It's like a UK version of Catch Me If You Can. Then reading another book by the same author of 48 Laws Of Power called Mastery. Potent book.
