I finished the Percy Jackson series, so good. I loved every single book, I read the whole series in about a week. Feel good/happy endings are my favorite (others are nice too, just prefer feel good/butterflies and rainbows), it's cliche' but that's just how it is, so I ended the last book with a smile. I can't wait to start up Heroes of Olympus later.

I started The Name of the Wind, got about 20 pages in or so which isn't enough to say anything really, but it started interesting and I'm liking it so far.

I'm almost half way through The Name of the Wind. Wow, what an amazing tale. The story within a story aspect is masterfully done up until now and I'm loving every bit of it.

Found my new book, Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader. Just a few pages in because of other stuff but the story starts a few hrs before Order 66 (eliminating the Jedi) was initiated in ep. 3 and talks about Vaders coping with the aftermath of turning to the dark side. Can't wait to have more time to invest in it.

It's amazing isn't it. I read both books in a couple of days. Couldn't put them down. Hoping he gets the third out soon!

I'm about 100 pages until finishing it, a really great book and although I haven't finished the last 100 pages, I'm sure nothing drastic changes to make me not like it, thus I'm going to order the next one tomorrow from Amazon.

The only issue I have with the book is the love interest. I'm a sappy butterflies and rainbows type of guy when it comes to love stories, so the more dark/unpleasant type of romance in this one is not my style. I don't know how it ends up being in the next one, but that's really my only complaint, or rather the only thing that just doesn't suit my taste. I know that there is some tragedy to be done before the final book (or in the final book) based off where he is and what has been told in the present day, and that this series isn't trying to be a happy rainbow series (which I'm good with in general), but I can't help not liking the main romance plot. Overall it's a damn good book and I'm looking forward to the next one.

With that said, I'm also very much interested in starting the Heroes of Olympus series that connect with the PJO series. The first book in that series should be delivered from Amazon tomorrow, so if all things go right I'll finish The Name of the Wind tomorrow and start The Lost hero. I'll probably read the first two in that series, decide I need a break, then read The Wise Man's Fear, then finish the remaining books of Heroes of Olympus.

So.... basically I'm set for reading for quite a while.

Finished The Name of the Wind. All I have to say is... it's probably the best book I've read all year. What a fantastic story. I would have been a tad upset/annoyed had I read this without having the second book available, as the ending leaves 0 closure or answers, it doesn't wrap anything up or answer any questions, it just adds more then ends abruptly. Having the second book on the way I'm perfectly happy with it, but if the second one ends that way... not good. I stand by my dislike, well not dislike but annoyances with the romance, I suppose a person should be annoyed at this kind of romance and it makes you feel what Kvothe might be feeling so it adds to the story so in that sense it's great, but I would have preferred more butterflies to suite my taste. I actually have a ton more to say about this book but don't want to fill my post up with a bunch of stuff, which I suppose just shows much I loved it - I could discuss it for a long, long time. I can't wait for A Wise Man's Fears to get here.

I'll start The Lost hero tonight and both A Wise Man's Fears and The Son of Neptune will come in on the 14th. Problem being I'll finish The Lost Hero in like a day or two, then be waiting two days without anything to read, which is blasphemy!

Finished The Lost Hero, great book. I can't wait to get my hands on the others in the series.

Tomorrow The Son of Neptune comes in along with The Wise Man's Fear. I have no clue which I will read first, but I'm thinking I will read the rest of the Heroes of Olympus series first (up to the final book released, anyways), and then read The Wise Man's fear.

Then... I'll need a new series to jump into as those will be done, waiting for the final book in both series.

edit - I realize this is my third post in row, but if I wait for others to post about what they are reading I'll be here forever, so I'm going to treat this thread more like a blog rather than stick to the normal double posting rules.

So, since my last post I've read The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena, and I just finished The House of Hades about 20 minutes ago. I love this series, tons of action and mystery/suspense. Literally every chapter something big happens, I just love the pacing. It's going to suck having to wait until October for the final book in the series, but I'm SO glad this one did not end in a cliff hanger like the others did, everyone is "safe" and the main objective of the book got wrapped up, the wait will be easier this way.

I now will start The Wise Man's Fear, part 2 of the Kingkiller Chronicles. I loved The Name of The Wind, it is probably my favorite fantasy book of all time, so I can't freaking wait to get into this one tomorrow.

Not read House of Hades yet, looking forward to it

Wise Man's Fear is just as good, if not better (imo) than the original. Loved it.
