JUST bought Summer of Night. Looking forward to it.

Finished Ocean at the End of the Lane. Absolutely loved it. Started Neverwhere, and enjoying it already.

Neverwhere is great. Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar are awesome.

Just finished Neverwhere. Took me a it longer than usual due to the little smiling shit machine in my life but still got through it quick enough to stay engrossed. Absolutely LOVED it. Such a great book. Awesome characters and loved the plot. Thanks for the recommendation M.C! Probably would have read it eventually but had a few books planned first. Glad I got into it for sure. American Gods next.

Yeah, great characters. I'd like to have a Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar spin off.

American Gods is good as well. People say it is his best work, but... I was disappointed in it. I thought it was good, but not his best. Basically everyone disagrees with me on it though lol.

I haven't found much to read lately that truly interest me. Actually, I did find something about two weeks ago where I was interested and ready to buy it, but I completely forgot the name of it, it sucks.

The latest Dresden files book just came out, Skin Game. I am almost through it and I must say it is pretty good.

Bought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It looks pretty unique and the haunting photographs seem interesting.

Almost done with Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It's a great mix of creepy Tim Burton style, with mystery and a fun adventure. I have enjoyed it quite a bit and plan to pick up the sequel right away.

With that said, this book has made me really want to pick up a creepy thriller/mystery that's more focused on the creepy, preferably a "haunted house" style of book (but adult themed). Anyone have any suggestions for a creepy mystery/thriller, like say The Shining or something like that, but none of the obvious go to books like that since I've read them/watched them.

So, I've finished both Peculiar Children books, great series so far. There's another one coming but I don't know when or if it's a trilogy or will continue beyond 3 books.

I started a book called Anna Dressed in Blood and I can't put it down. I'm 63% done with it (thank you paperwhite) after just one sitting, man I love when a book drags me in like that. This is easily the best book I've read all year and I highly recommend it.

Anna Dressed in Blood and Girl of Nightmare is a great duology. It is legitimately creepy, has a great story, solid characters, excellent prose, a small bit of humor that shines brightly because of how gloomy/creepy/scary the two books are, and just all around a fun as hell read. Highly recommend.

I have two books left to read - Mythago Wood and Mr Mercedes.

I got about 30% into Mythago Wood and gave up. It just doesn't hit the right marks to keep me wanting to read on.

I have two trilogies I want to start - Mistborn and The First Law. I've heard great things about both. I'm going to buy the first book in each next, not sure which I will start with though.

Any Opinions on which one is better?
