Even the movie loosely based on The Shadow Over Innsmouth blew. I forgot the name of this POS, and I'm hoping it didn't screw up my head so bad that I got the name of the story wrong too.

I think there may even have been a movie based on Pickman's Model and someone managed to f*ck that up as well.

My roommate loves Noam Chomsky.

that book is awesome. I just re-read it a month ago. I wish I had kids so I could read it to them

...I just realized what I wished for. I'm too young and take it back.

I still haven't properly read Choke beyond a skim of the first few pages, (because every household project we do involves me being told to clean out a closet)but it looks great, and what was the book he wrote about some model who was in an accident or something? I'm pretty sure it was Chuck Palahniuk, I think it came out about 2 years ago b/c I remember looking at it in a Borders in the Detroit area when we were visiting.

yo, Choke is weird. Just a heads up. Content-wise, I don't recommend it to too many people, but it's got some interesting perspectives.

as for the other book you mentioned, I think it's called Monster or something. I really want to read Survivor.

I read Haunted, but it has one of the most disgusting, most disturbing stories I've ever heard. I could've done without those images in my brain.

I just read the Alchemist. It was a very easy read but I liked it a lot. I had heard such good things about it, and it had never been a required reading of the past. Now I want to read a couple of Russian books: "The Golden Calf" and "The Master and the Margarita". Anyone heard of either.

I read an interview with a Russian hockey player and he used a quote from "The Golden Calf", "Keep your dirty hands off my Dream" and I pretty much knew I was gonna have to read it.

"I don't dink anyone en dis division can endure my riddum."

Well just finished the 4th book of the Wheel of Time series and I wanted to bump this bad-boy back up. Before going on the 5th book I'm going to finish reading "The Last Great Fight" by Joe Layden which is about the Mike Tyson-Buster Douglas fight. I had started reading it and it was very good but I started in on the WoT series so I'm going to finish up on that one.
