I can't actually say how good the cutscenes are. No other game comes close graphics wise. Add in a great story and yay Although Hope is a little bitch until about 15hours or so through.

I'm on pulse right now farming for CP, the big groups of Flans are great beacause I don't risk dieing at all and they die farily easy... unless they merge before i can kill them and turn into a monsterous flan then it gets a little harder...
I really wish getting gil was easier too, shops are basically useless in the game..
also i want to kill one of those giant dinosaur looking turtle things... i saved my game and then tried to kill one and he literally did like 9999 damage to me via stomping the crap out of everyone.

Try going to the very North, by the Behemoth by the save point. There are a Behemoth further down and some other giant wolf thing I can't remember the name of fighting. You *always* get a pre-emptive against them so you should be able to get quick free battles and some decent CP.
Bahaha The Adamantoises are awesome. Wait until you beat a few certain Ceith missions and they turn into Long Gui and Shao Long Gui. Those things are beast. Even with a fully maxed party those things can destroy you un prepared. Bay = the most over powered attack ever. Can't remember how many times a Shao Long owned me with Bay when I was farming for Dark Matter.

Oh my god THIS!
Hope is such a whiney little emo douche... "BAWWWWW My mommy died now im lost in the word *hangs head and sobs*" "BAWWWWW I can't do this "
And it's not like he's whiney during cutscenes or anything. This game has ambient dialog so he's bitching and moaning when you're just walking around. I wanted to slap him so ******* hard >:[

you will get a premtive attack when you go to the area he suggested, just focus everyone on the behemoth to start off with you should have him dead in seconds before he can ammount any kind of attack.
farming for gil with not beating the giant turtles after you reach gran pulse would be an area you have not got to yet sadley to say. and i dont want to tell you where for it will mess with the story line for you so just do this when you come across enemies called sacrifices farm them they will drop perfumes and a few at a time (each one worth over 10,000) I maxed out quite a few weapons farming these guys before i could beat the big turtles. also you could try fighting the baby turtles they drop gold dust whih is worth a bit too,
always have a collectors catalog and conisuers catalog equipped when farming for gil though
KryOnicle
The ******* Gui's are ghey I just reached them last night, I still cant figure out how to beat them but hopefully i will in time, sad thing is they took over the big turtles i usually farmed so know i have to teleport back to the area right before the sacrifices to find a good number of teh turtles.

Just go back when you're a bit stronger, with a pre-empt and a strong enough party you can defeat both within seconds. Make sure to keep the Behemoth launched so he can't power up

He's the worst character in a video game ever. Until he calms down at least. 'boo hoo hoo SNOW OMG.. wait no I won't say anything yet...' then he literally whoops a boomerang out of his ass. It's terrible

They are extremely hard yeah. You need tortoise for them, nearly every time they attack. I found the Shao longs much harder. But, then I only beat one Long Gui for the Trophy/Achievment. If you only want to beat it the once like I did, I suggest using a summon to buckle his legs, debuff him and buff party, kick shit out of him for a bit then when he gets back up use an Elixer to regain TP and do it again. He should fall to during the 2nd Stagger period if you use Tri Disaster to get him up to 999, then Cerebus after with the 3 Genji gloves equipped.
To get more Elixers as well just upgrade a docters code (you can get 4 of them I think) to max(only 200exp), then dismantle it. You get 3 Shrouds and an Elixer when you do this. Much more with while as regaining TP can save your ass against the tougher enemies.
I farmed Adamantortoises before I completed the Gran Pulse 'Ceith Circle' of missions. So I was quite lucky. Dark Matters do drop more often than Traps it seems though, I got my 5-6 Dark Matters in one-two hours of farming Shao Longs (and I died... Alot...)

i actually have traps drop allot for some reason I got really lucky on that point. but yeah the gui's suck, ill try your method of using the elixer just so i can say i beat one then i will do a grind session on them till i figure out a way to beat them straight up.
out of curiosity which weapons do you like fully upgraded I have maxed out a few and some of them have some pretty cool extra power things added to them
also who do you like as your leader? I was a big lightning person but recently have been using fang for her highwind. been trying to figure out if i like it better then lightnings army of one

I switch leaders between Lightening and Fang. For farming I use Fang always, as you said for high wind. Taking out the legs of a Adaman(tor)toise is so easy with Highwind.
For length boss battles (Mission 64 for example) and getting the chain bonus up when you can't really use Tri disaster, I'll always choose Lightening as party leader. All depends on what Im doing. But I never choose anyone other than those two.
Lionheart upgraded to Omega Weapon for Lightening for Quick Stagger. It's Synthesized Ability for Instant stagger with Energy/Speed Sash's is amazing. I beat Gigantaur really early due to that.
Pandoran Spear upgraded to Kains lance for Upgraded Debuffs.
I think I upgraded the Hawkeye for Hope. Don't ask why as I have no idea, didn't think about it when I did it stupidly.
Belladona wand upgraded to Nirvana for Vanille again for added Debuffs.
Paladin upgraded to Save the Queen for Snow as I only bring him out if I plan on using a Sentinel for an entire battle.
Can't remember Sazh as I barely used him, which is pretty stupid of me as he can be extremely powerful if used correctly. Ah well.
