How do you guys know what dps you're doing anyway?

Fire spec is a Mage talent tree. You are a paladin right? So you have Holy, Retribution and Protection that you can pick from. Mage's have Arcane, Fire and Frost. I picked Fire for my spec.

The only way to track your DPS as of right now is to download and install an addon that will track it for you. Very simple to do. I use recount to track my DPS.

Critical hits will always help boost someones damage but it helps Fire Mage's like me a whole lot more than everyone else. When I crit, my Hot Streak procs which basically means one of my spells is now boosted. My critical hits actually have the chance to boost 2 of my spells. So on a normal character where a crit will just up that one hit, it will actually help me out in my entire rotation.

So when I do not get enough critical hits, my DSP suffers as a result.

I am pretty good with game mechanics and things like that. Obviously I know a lot more about the characters that I regularly play.

As of right now I have an 85 Mage, 85 Death Knight, 76 Hunter and everything else is lower levels. I think I have a 15 Paladin, 15 Rogue, 17 Priest and a 35ish Druid.

So I made it to 85 with my paladin and am not sure what else to do. Some of the stuff I need to make epic items is either nearly impossible to find or insanely expensive in the AH.

Thought about playing with another character but if all of them get abandoned at 85 I don't really see the point.

Basically I'm frustrated at my inability to improve my character and lacking motivation. Hell, there's not much point in even questing anymore

I played in vanilla. I occasionally played over the past few years at friends but never really got back into it.

But there is something all the friends of mine who play have in common:

piroxbots.com

easy leveling, free gold, free stuff, it pretty much does all the grunt work for you. i dont have a ton of experience using it personally, but i do know the friend that told me about it has 10+ lvl85 characters and has used it for years.

keep questing and do dailies, you get easy gold and rep to buy some starter epics. but i get ya, specially about the Pally and not knowing what to do.... for me Holy was just no fun to try and heal, specially with the gear i had, Ret dps was pretty terrible and i had no gear whatsoever for it, i guess Prot was still good for tanking but i tried it once and wasnt totally into it and again i had no gear.... my BS was high enough to atleast make a buncha 83 blues, but woulda taken days on my miner to get enough mats, and my miner was also my JC (hunter).... so to make the gear i woulda had to abandon my JC for a few days.... so i feel you on the whats the point feeling.

i have kinda thought of resubbing tho... mostly tho when im drunk and its late at night and no one to talk too... atleast in WoW i could troll trade chat...

Xeb i heard they cracking down hard on Botting tho, like they have perma-banned a whole buncha accounts that were caught botting.

I've never tried this trade chat you speak of but do enjoy a little bit of trolling on occasion

Wouldn't want to try the botting either, too much of a sissy I guess.

My bs is 510 or so but some of the shit I need to make the really high dollar stuff is soulbound on pickup so I can't buy it and other stuff takes days farming it.

im on Hakkar, 2 85's 6 80's a 73 druid and i think 9 rogue.... when i left i think i was like 515ish, maybe 520 on BS..... i forget... enchanting was about there too. JC was just barely over 500 and mining was maxed. when i do think of resubbing i usually look at the forums and realise.... i wasnt having fun other the trade chat, and most of the changes comming in im not a fan of..... so... i dunno and most of my friends left WoW too, ill wait and see what Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat do for me...
