I got it the previous time it was on sale like 3 days ago and been placing since, but it's on sale again today so if anyone hasn't played it yet, make sure to pick it up today, coming from someone who doesn't even like the genre.

I have it on Steam and I love it as well. Very fun game.

It's a great series and Civ V is defintely a crowning achievement for it. Gods & Kings is a minor improvement imo, but last I checked they were only discounting it like 25% for the Summer Sale compared to 75% for all the other Civ V stuff...

Picked up a couple of games on Steam. Grabbed Oblivion and Morrowind. Actually got Oblivion 30 seconds before the deal ended. It was counting down. Got it for 5 bucks.
Never played either of them.

Oblivion is a lot better than Morrowind in my opinion. Morrowind is good for its time, but having to walk extremely slowly everywhere you go with no fast travel gets boring in about 10 minutes.
Plus, I generally liked Oblivion better even without that issue, minus the gear scaling, bandits running around in full elven armor was annoying.

Overall I prefer Morrowind, but it is limited by its older engine and the choice to not include fast-travel (which some actually do like... there are a lot of alternate options for travelling that are more sensible within the canon). In terms of atmosphere it rocked Oblivion's butt royally though.

Morrowind is about twice as big as Oblivion though. There are 199 quests in Oblivion, Morrowind has 376 without expansions. Plus it doesn't have these pesky Oblivion gates that pop up while you're doing something else. I really hated that about Oblivion. There were 60 of them and they were all basically the same.

Atmosphere definitely, but that's about it for me in terms of Morrowind being better, well and the horrible gear scaling in Oblivion.

More is only good if it's paced properly. The pacing of Morrowind is like needing to travel across the country but having a broken leg with no crutch.
Good game, worth playing if you haven't, just not the best TES game for me.

Oblivion gates were prolly the only things i hated in the game. So annoying.
ME3 makes ME1 feel like a run-around-shooter so far.

Well, isn't it?
I'm finished with my first playthrough and I really grew to love it. I was a bit hasty and didn't realize I was almost done with the story until it was too late to go back. As a result I didn't really do many side quests which is a shame because I had a lot of them. It doesn't really matter though because I was going to try another class anyway. The soldier class is kind of the standard thing that you'd expect from a shooter. I'm thinking of either Adept or Sentinel.
