I have been playing Shift 2 Unleashed. Going to the 24 hours at Daytona made me want to zip around some race tracks.

I haven't played NFS since Pro Street. Why couldnt they just take the driving dynamics from Prostreet and put it in street racing? Instead of bullshit like Undercover or the new Most Wanted?

Shift 2 isn't like the street racing mechanics at all and the actual tuning you can do to your car is pretty deep. I love it. It is closed course racing, not street racing.
The drifting is insanely hard in it though.

Yeah thats what I mean. Prostreet was the same. Why couldnt they just take the entire driving mechanics from Prostreet/Shift, and make it illegal street racing again? Undercover etc. had TERRIBLE driving.

The handling is just dated. I mean the new ones still feel the same as the mechanics in the first underground did. It's just weird but it was fine back then.

NFS Underground 1 is still my fav of the lot of them. But I just wish they would stick to 1 game developer and have the Prostreet/Shift guys put it on the streets with an actual story.
