Old Metal Gears? You mean pre PS1? They suck, and hard. They aren't even challenging games, they are just awful, as are many NES/SNES games that were at one point in time considered good.
With that said, I might hop into the world of Fallout 3 again. I really don't need any time consuming games right now, though, so I'm really on the fence about starting that up.

MGS on PS1 is beastly, for sure. My favorite MGS games are in order:
MGS3-MGS4-MGS1-MGS2.
I might finish up some random quests in Skyrim that I haven't completed or finished up. I pretty much got them all done but I Googled it and there's a few stragglers that I haven't picked up over the 150+ hours I have on this character.

Yeah the PS1 ones rule, the best thing in the whole series is the psycho mantis fight having to put your controller in the 2 player slot and he reads your memory card and system frm what you have playing and been saving. Also liquid snake is pretty sweet.

ALL MGS games are amazing.
MGS 4 > MGS 2 > MGS 1 > MGS 3 to me, but when you're eye gets shot out and stuff in the 3rd, amazing. The only reason the 4th is my fav is going back to Shadow Moses. Best video game moment of all time imo.
Never played the originals though, MGs, they any good?

Okay, I beat the Dragon and now I get to start the maze again with the hard as hell monsters. Whats funny is that Capcom is making an expansion to Dragons Dogma. If the monsters are like this at the end of the game what the hell are they going to be like in the expansion.
Okay, I finally beat this damn game. Final Thoughts, this game is middle of the road. The story is weak, no fast travel (unless you pay up the ass for Ferrystones and Portcrystals), checkpoint system sucks my balls, and you only get one lousy save file . However, the fighting system in this game is ******* awesome. When it comes to fighting Dragons this game made Dragon Age and Skyrim its bitch. Also, despite them always talking the pawn system is quite interesting. You can actually share the pawn you create with other gamers and you can get prizes for it. Of course, some gamers are nothing but cheap bastards. They want to give me bullshit like apples and tufts of hair. You can have endless fun with this game. If you find it cheap (like 20 or 30 dollars) go ahead and pick it up.

I just per-ordered Bioshock Inifinite today. So excited to play this. What sucks is they delayed the release date for another month. Damn it I am sick of waiting.
