Fable games are pretty good.
They are all seperate quests, but set in the same world with the same ideas, much like the Zelda games. Same world, same "hero of legend", and centered around the same town (bowerstone), but set many years apart from each other, with different main plots in each game with different main characters in each game.
Fable 1 is pretty old, so it won't give that kick that newer games would give, but it's fun. Fable 2 and 3 are good as well, but they aren't "great" games.
I'd say, if you're looking for an enjoyable 15-20 hour rpg/action adventure with some humor and interesting things (like buying property/renting it out to make money) then go for it, just don't expect amazing.

Fable games are good but are flawed in many ways. Fable 2 and 3 are too easy. It took less then two days to beat Fable 3.
Anyways, I am currently playing Ghostbusters: The Video Game and Mortal Kombat 9. Considering I'm a veteran of Mortal Kombat I can actually see the plot holes in story mode! I'm still trying to figure out if that is good or just plain sad.

I agree they have flaws, that's why I'd only consider them good and not great or any such thing, they are just good games and wroth the time if you want something new.
Moral Kombat 9 demo was fun. I'd never buy it, cause much like Portal 2, it's just too short and not enough to do to warrent a $60 buy. I use gamefly anyways, though, so I just rent all my games, beat them, then send back. The exception being PC games, which I have to buy, but I only get the ones worth it.

Finished Mortal Kombat and Ghostbusters! If I never have to fight Shao Kahn again it will be too soon!
Now I'm working on Divinity 2: Eco Draconis! So far its pissing me off! I keep getting killed and its taking a lot of time just to kill a few bandits! Pretty soon I'm going to chuck this game out the window if I can't figure it out soon!

Playing A LOT of Career mode on FIFA 11. I picked Middlesbrough because I wanted to use a nPower team and work my way to the top of the premier league. So far thats going okay, I am in second because it seems that Portsmouth only ******* loses to me and thats it!

This is just my opinion but I would take Fifa over COD anyday. Maybe trade yours in? The career mode is great this year.
