Your top 5 computer games of all time,

The recent release of Zelda got me thing about classic games of the past. So I'd thought I'd post my top 5 and see what opinions everyone else has.

1. Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time. (N64)

No other game made me feel different emotions like this game. I was probably 12 when I first played it and it will stick with me forever. I can remember so many details. Made me feel like I'm on a real adventure! Fishing was awesome too!

2. GoldenEye (N64)

One of the best multiplayer games I've ever played. Nothing like that feeling of knowing your buddy isn't far away, around some corner, and havingyour heart jump out your throat while you get mowed doen by a RC-P90. Good times.

3. Football Manager (PC)

The most addictive game ever. Genuinly has support groups to help people get off it. It ruins lives, makes people lose jobs, family, everything. Honestly. Its amazing. Its also a genuine scouting tool used by football clubs like Everton.

4. Mario Kart. (N64)

THE best multiplayer game around at the time. Still an all time great. Had countless hours of fun playing this game with buddys, havig a cheeky smoke or a beer or 2.

5. Mario 64 (N64)

Yeah, I know theres alot of N64 games. But the gameplay seemed to be so much better in those days. This was of course the first game i had for the N64. I remember as a 11 year old, being blown away with the 3D graphics. This game, like Zelda, was MASSIVE too. Hours of fun to be had, as a kid anyway.

My favorites:

1) Chrono Trigger - SNES RPG
2) LoZ: A Link to the Past - SNES
3) Halo 2 - XBOX
4) Chrono Cross - PSX RPG
5) Forza Motorsport 3 - XBOX 360 Racing

I don't think these are the "best" games so to speak, but the ones I enjoyed the most. It was tough getting it down to 5.

OoT and Goldeneye were both excellent titles that I enjoyed very much.

I've always thought MK64 was one of the weakest in the series

Man, this is a tough list.

My favorite classic games:

1. Final Fantasy VII

What can I say? It was the first FF game to enter 3D and it blew my freaking mind. The story is so crisp, characters awesome, and nothing, even to this day, beats the Materia magic system when it comes to Japanese themed RPG games. It is a masterpiece of classic RPG gaming, with every single tiny little thing done to please whomever is playing it.

2. Fallout 1 and 2

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are pretty great, but for those who haven't played the first two, are really, really missing out. The second one in paticular is quite amazing. So much to do, so many characters/interesting things. It also has a lot more humor and crazy things. I love the first two more than I love 3 and New Vegas. If you haven't played them, go buy them on steam for 10 bucks or whatever it is, they are serioulsy great games.

Half Life

An Amazing game. Seriously. This game changed first person shooters forever, more so than Halo ever wishes it did, and to this day the Half Life series is by far the best FPS series ever made. For anyone interested, they (community) are remaking this game with whole new graphics, and it's free so long as you have the original Half Life.

Link to remake is here:

4. The Secret of Monkey Island 1 and 2

This game is pretty dang fun. No combat to speak of, minus the whole "pirate fighting", which is hilarious and entertaining. It's a pure, classic adventure game. Items to be found, puzzles to be solved, and (goofy and amusing) story to unfold. Both games are so great.

5. Ocarina of Time

It is a good time for this thread, as I just picked up the remake for this game on the 3DS. The game's core is literally as good as any new Zelda you will find. The combat is great, the quests are fun, the dungeons are tough (if you didn't already know them font to back like myself, that is), and it's a long 30-40 hour experience to get everything. It's one of the best games ever made, and rightfully so.

Not sure why it says top 5 computer games. That generally implies PC games.

But my favorite games are...

Console

Mass Effect Series

I love these games. Making decisions that affect the outcome and the decisions change the next game in the series as well. Free to do whatever missions, recruiting members, etc... Awesome graphics. Definitely my favorite. I am beyond sure that I will love the 3rd one as well.

Resident Evil Series

I LOE every single Resident Evil I have ever played. I have beaten 1,2,Code Veronica, 4 and 5. Still love to replay all of them and am looking into getting 1 and 3 to play. I remember being scared while playing them all night when I was younger.

Final Fantasy Series

Final Fantasy kicks ass. PERIOD! Awesome stories, awesome characters, I love the fighting mechanics, just awesome. I would have to say my favorites are 7,8, and 10. 13 was pretty sweet as well.

Grand Theft Auto Series

I can remember staying up night after night playing Grand Theft Auto games. I have almost all of them, and still pick them up from time to time to mess around with.

Zelda: A Link to the Past

This one was for Super Nintendo and I LOVE it. I bought it for gameboy at one point as well just to play it wherever I was.

PC Games

World of Warcraft

I started playing this game in the Burning Crusade Era of WoW, and I have loved it ever since. I still play it a lot when there is nothing better to do and have spent more than a few all nighters online.

The Sims Series

I love the Sims. I have played it ever since the first one came out. I guess it's just the idea of playing god that just keeps me coming back for more. I don't play all of the time, but when I do load it up, I am hooked for weeks before I put it down again.

Age of Empires 1 and 2

I put 1 and 2 because they are the only ones I have played. For some reason when the graphics improved and the game got more 3-D, it turned me off for some reason. But I love being able to bring up my military, raise the villagers, pick what my economy is based on, advance through the ages, and go to war however I feel like it.

Rollercaster Tycoon series

I am not a big fan of any of the other "tycoon" games, but the theme park ones have always been a good time for me. I just love the creativity that it allows with designing everything about your park from the rides, to the shops, to the pathways that people can walk on. Just awesome.

Sim City

I liked this game, once I figures it the hell out. It took me forever to figure out how to properly build a city and get water, electricty, etc... But once I got the hang of it, it was awesome.

Ocarina of Time
I've played every Zelda game there is for Nintendo consoles and this is the best. Awesome gameplay, the best score Nintendo ever put together, the perfect combination of puzzles and action. Plus the story is awesome.

Final Fantasy 7

Easily the best classic RPG that ever made the way from Japan over to Europe. The game just makes you wanna keep playing.

Secret of Monkey Island
Can't really say which one is the best. I loved the first three games once I was old enough to understand. When I first played Monkey Island I didn't even know what an adventure game was, let alone a hard adventure game (God, was it hard...) with a unique sense of humor.

The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind
There's just no limit to this game. I once had a savegame with over 200 hours of gameplay and I could still find new quests and dungeons. Plus the replay value is ENORMOUS.

And last but sure as hell not least

Diablo II
Probably the game I've wasted the most hours of my life on. Most fun when you're friends are joining in.

I'm sure Nintendos, X-box etc are types of computer?

Nice shout for the GTA series. Think I've played them all. Loved GTA:London.

I'm liking the love for Zelda games and MGS 1.
