I got Lords of the Shadow few days ago, it seems nice, but from what I heard it doesn't have too many connections with original series. Lords of the Shadow remind me a lot of God of War, which is probably why I like it.

SOTN is the best in the series, so you picked a good one to start with.

The sad part? You will be disappointed in the rest of them, as you are playing the best the series has to offer.

The other ones are good as well (well, for the most part) but they are a step down from SOTN.

Huge Castlevania fan right here. I beat the one for sega (I think it was called bloodlines), and I have beaten symphony of the night at least 10 times. Also played a bit of the new gen one. I loved them all, but I agree with MC. Symphony of the Night is BY FAR the best game the series has to offer. Kicks complete ass

I like Curse of Darkness and I'm still working on Lords of Shadow. I'm not really that big on LOS! Too much puzzle solving for my taste!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

i see what your saying, i played castlevania: rondo of blood which was unreleased in america but is INSANELY good. the whole game is pretty much the beginning part of SOTN with richter belmont

i really like how non-linear the earlier games are
