It's definitely more of a niched audience. It's extremely well written then again what show isn't these days on AMC or HBO. It's another period piece set in the 60's ad agency. Put it this way if you like alcohol and girls this show is for you. I enjoy this show as it sets a different pace and mood. SOA, The Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad all have some serious violence in it, this is quite the opposite so it's really a good contrast.
Try it out you might get hooked. It's won Emmys every season.

Watched the first four episodes of OZ season 1 today. One of my favorite ever TV shows, and it hasn't lost any of it's magic. 10/10.

The whole title of Winter Is Coming just symbolizes that each episode and season gets darker and darker.
