I played God of War for the first time today....

...and my first impression is that this is good. Normally, I don't like puzzle games like this mainly because they tend to go over my head and I have to seek help from YouTube. But so far I'm not hating it.

I played God of War a few months ago, never played the first two but I really enjoyed it, I'm thinking about getting the collections for the PS3.

There was a part where I had to go to Youtube but other than that I breezed right through it.

Play Resident Evil 5. You don't need to play the other 4 to understand it and its AMAZING.

God of War is a sick game too.

The God of War games are fantastic. Some of the best boss battles ever.

God of War is one my all time favorite games. I wouldn't really consider it a puzzle game even though there are puzzles. Its more of an action packed game with intense boss battles and over the top gore and sex. You should also check out Bayonetta. It's the same concept except you play as a hot chic and the style is more "fun". As in, it isn't a very serious game. I think I liked it better than GoW actually. It was worth playing through just to see the ending credits LOL...

No offense dude but I'm calling bullshit on this statement. I just spent the last hour and a half solving puzzles. The only over the top sex scene I seen so far were the boobs of two women at the beginning of the game. Does this game get better after I pass Pandora's temple?

God of War 1 is about 6 years old now, so a lot of the elements/game mechanics/combat are exactly that, 6 years old and from a console of the past.

God of War 2 is a lot more polished. The graphics are upgraded some, the combat is very much improved, etc.

God of War 3's combat, however, blows your effing mind. It's quite possibly my favorite game ever when it comes to pure combat/gameplay. The graphics are some of the single best out of all video games, and the boss battles cannot be topped.

So, it's tough to judge the series going back and playing the first game and trying to compare it to new games, however, if you play the third one first (which I don't recommend simply because of story) your mind will be blown.

Beat the first game, then when you play the second you will see/feel the improvements right off the bat, then go into the third and have one hell of a time.

Whoooo, I beat God of War 1. Final verdict of the game....It was good. It kept me interested enough to play all the way through. There were parts that frustrated the hell out of me. For instance, I had to climb this pillar of spikes. One mistake you fall and have to start all over again. I'm surprised I didn't break my controller after that one. Other then that I had fun with it. Well, now I have to play the sequel..

Today, I played God of War 2 for the first time today...:thumb02:
