Too be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed when I first started playing this game. To find things and open up the world, I just really embraced the exploration part of the game. I would mark something completely across the world and just travel there, discovering dungeons, small places like inn's, different kinds of enemies, etc...

I learned a lot from exploring. I found tons of quests, a few guilds I could join, not to mention plenty of things to level my skills with to make my character stronger.

Combat will come easily imo. You just have to know what kind of character you want to play. For example I spec into Sneaking and Archery as my main 2 combat skills. So I pretty much sneak around surprising enemies from a distance.

If you want a melee character, you need to either spec into 1 handed or 2 handed weapons, and then probably heavy armor. (Unless you were using daggers then you could get away with sneak+light armor)

If you want to be a mage, you would want to gain Magika when you level (I wouldn't completely neglect health though) and spec into whatever type of magic you want whether it be conjuration, destruction, restoration, illusion, etc...

If you look back in this thread, I was not a fan at first. You get the hang of enchanting/selling loot/smithing, and it becomes addicting as hell.

I will agree the controls are still sloppy. If you go from playing a game like Battlefield, back to skyrim, it feels so sluggish and non responsive, I have to turn my mouse way up to compensate.

Downloading it for PC. I don't normally torrent games, I prefer to buy. But if Bethesda don't mind releasing the PS3 version so it barely works for some people after investing tons of time into it, then I think people should be able to pirate a copy that will work better.

I think that was my biggest issue by far. The controls feel really really slow and clunky and I've been playing NHL 12, MW3 and BF 3 exclusively before this.

PC version <<<<< every other version.

The graphics are better, the frame-rate is a constant 60fps (if you have a good machine), mods change the game up drastically (not many great mods yet, but that's because the game hasn't been out long), but even so they have some neat mods, like unbreakable lockpicking, clean faces (makes faces look better), etc.
