Dragonrend- Literally physically forces a dragon to land, and has a really quick recharge (combined with the amulet of Talos) makes wrecking any level of dragon easy.

Call Dragon- Does exactly what it says, calls a dragon to fight for you. The only problem is that if your dragon kills the opposing dragon, you don't get its soul, so you have to perform the kill shot.

On top of that, there are tons of little intricacies and subtle things that you can only get from the main quest, and they're sooo worth it.

Also: 8 more levels (which is to say about 100 more iron daggers forged inexpicably) in smithing and I'll be making my own full dragonscale and dragon plate armor. This is my excited face!
Dragonscale is awesome but if you are going to make heavy armor too, Daedra is the way to go.

They have curved swords, CURVED swords!

I heard this line from a guard about 10 times in a row from different guards in Whiterun.

Now they are all dead, sure, but that will haunt me forever.

I'm currently rolling with full dragon scale, and my companion (the baus orc companion) is rolling with full dragon plate.

Eventually I intend on maxing out my heavy armor as well, so I'll be making a full suit of Daedra when that time comes!

You guys are so much more elite then me ) :

So sad... im still a newb and learning things about this game each hour. Is dragon plate the best armor in the game??

Also.. anyone know a better way to switch from duel swords to spells??

I know the favorite and i also know the 1,2 you can hold next to the weapon or spell BUT that doesnt work well for trying to switch from spells to weapons to weapons to spells.

Question 1 : No it isn't. Dragonscale is the best Light Armour, where as Daedric is the best Heavy Armour. Dragonplate is one below Daedric.

Question 2 : Get it on the PC rather than a console Otherwise add weapons/spells into your favourites list and do it that way, or use the semi functional 1-2 system as you mentioned and just bare with it. 120 hours and I haven't found an easier way lol. PC you can hotkey anything and everything.

Cranking up your smithing is easy. Just buy iron ingots, and leather strips from the armorers and forge iron daggers. They only require 1 ingot and 1 leathert strip and get your level up quick.

Also: In Whiterun (Warmaiden), if you talk to the armorer outside after 8:00 AM, she and the interal armorer share x amount of iron ingots and leather strips.

But if you talk to her about 7 when she comes outside in the morning, she will have x amount, and once 8 rolls around (or you wait) go inside and the male armorer will have y amount of iron ingots and leather strips, even though you already bought from her.

You at the lower levls will end up with 10-15 ingots and strips, at the higher levels, you can pull close to 30 of each using that trick.

Also: smithing is an easy way to level up for more perks if you happen to need them for your one/two handed, or armor class.

I'm not very happy with the switching system they use between magic and weapon and shield/ dual wield. I generally stick withone or the other depending on what I'm trying to do, and only use magic as needed, or melee as needed.
