Keep in mind, if you master an All materia, you can sell it for 1,000,000 gold. Most people who play FF7 (who know about this) generally level an ALL materia as quickly as possible and sell it to pay for all the breeding, that way you can get knights of the round early, that way you can level the summon up as you play so that when you hit the end game, it's level 2-3 or so, that way you can cast it more than once during a fight.

In your case, I'd either level the summon up, or try to beat the boss with it (it'll help a great deal even casting once).

Thanks for the advice everybody! You all get Positive reps.

You know its funny! The one thing I really hate about the FF series is the one thing its famous for-The leveling up. I spend hours trying to level up every character and despite that I still feel like I am a long way off to where it should be. Not only I'm I worried about leveling up the characters I have to level up the material. I was about ready to hang myself doing the Chocobo breeding quest because it took so long. After a while it just bogs me down. I think that is why I stopped playing FF13 and moved on to something else. End Rant.

Don't take this as a sign that I hate the game. I do like it but right now its just wearing me down. I'll let you guys know when I beat the game.

Well, what level are you? You can beat the game at level 50 without too much trouble if your materia is set up properly.

Here's what you need to do to make sure you can beat him around this level:

Make sure Barrier and MBarrier are maxed and have both of them combined with a maxed ALL (you want this going 24/7 along with Regen)

Make sure you have Cure 3 (or the best cure, can't remember which) combined with an ALL.

Make sure Regen is maxed and have it combined with an All (you want this going 24/7 along with Barrier/Mbarrier).

Make sure your limit breaks are full before heading into the fight (kill Jenova with Knights of the Round, save limits for Sephiroth).

Make sure you have plenty Ethers and Elixers, as you need full MP all the time throughout the fight.

---------------------

Basics of figthing Sephiroth:

Slap on a Barrier or MBarrier (or both if he does melee and magic, I can't remember which he does), put on Regen, then start your summoning. If any of your characters run out of summons, use the highest DPS elemental magic you have (make sure it's equipped with All as Sephiroth has multiple hit zones in his first form).

I cannot remember if Knights of the Round resets after his first form. If it doesn't reset and you only have 1 star, you can only cast it once throughout the whole fight. I suggest using it on his second form if that's the case.

Use Bahamut ZERO as much as you can as it'll deal a lot of damage (second strongest summon in game).

Always, always always, keep up your Barrier/MBarrier and Regen. Never let them go away, which is why as I said earlier, make sure you have tons of Ethers and Elixers, to keep your MP up full.

The fight is really not too difficult once you do these steps and hit around level 50-60, which you should be roughly.

I also equip Cloud with 4X Slash, and as many maxed 'counter' materias as possible. With his Ultimate weapon, and he's hitting for 9999 every hit, he destroys Sephiroth solo quite easily.

I DID IT! I FINALLY DID IT. I BEAT FINAL FANTASY 7! WOOOOOOOOOOOH!

Thanks guys for all your help. I was thinking of going back to FF 13 or play Dirge of Cerberus but I think I'm Final Fantasy'd out. So I think I will wait until a later date to finish those games. Maybe I'll go back to Fallout 3.

I just have one question guys! I was at Gamestop today and saw that Nintendo Gamecube also has a final fantasy game called Crystal Chronicles. If any of you played this particular title would you recommend it? Is it worth the money or should I pass?

Pass.

It's not anything like any other FF. It's basically a dungeon crawler with very little story or character progression.

Really? That's kind of disappointing. Thanks for the warning. I guess it does save me the trouble of actually buying the gamecube just to play it. Well, I know I said I was done with FF for a while but I actually started playing FF7 again. Not only that I just bought Crisis Core for the PSP. I'm going to be busy for a while.

FF7 is amazing, not surprised you're playing it again. I've beaten it like 10 times.

This time, remember to level up an ALL materia ASAP so you can sell it for a million, to fund all of your chocobo breeding so that you can level up Knights of the Round, that way you can take on the weapons.

Not sure if you knew that/did that, but if you beat ultimate weapon (the flying black dragon thing) late in the game, he gives you Cloud's ultimate weapon, and there are still 2 more weapons, Emerald and Ruby. One under the ocean, one in the sand near Gold Suacer. Emerald and Ruby are the two hardest bosses in this game, by far, they dwarf Sephiroth and make him look like a child boss fight.

Oh, and, Crisis Core is a good game. It gives some more info on Zack/Cloud/Sephiroth's relationships and the ending is emotional.

Yeah, I knew about Ultimate weapon. I think that is why I was able to pwn Sephiroth so easily in his last form.

I have another question! Not about FF 7 but about FF14. When this first came out I heard this game was well....complete shit. Edit: Despite this some people have claimed that square are making improvements to this game and is getting better. Does anybody have an account? Is this worth getting or is this another pass?
