It's a pass. Not many people play that game anymore I don't think.
It's a huge failure for Square Enix. Not sure if you know it or not, but Square isn't doing so well these days. They are losing tons and tons of money, lost millions of dollars on FF14 and FF13 didn't sell nearly as well as they were hoping.
You know why this is a good thing? Most people, including major gaming websites, have released articles saying "Square needs to finally remake FF7". You can almost guarantee that FF7 is going to get a full blown remake, as they'd make sooooo freaking much money from it, and they know it.

I kind of had that feeling! The way people talked about FF 13 and 14. Then of course their was Mindjack, this wretched excuse of a shooter.
Still, it is disappointing that FF14 turned out the way it did. Looking at the trailers and listening to the soundtrack made me want to go out and buy it. It looks like every Fantasy nerd's wet dream. Sad man.
As far as a FF 7 remake...IDK. I'm kind of weary of remake. People who do these remakes tend to screw it up.

Okay, I need help again! I just started playing FF 13 again and I am stuck on the second battle with Bartandelus. This battle is such a grind. I almost beat him but the mother f'er cast the doom spell on me and it killed me. This whole protecting the leader thing really sucks. Anyways, what is the most efficient way of killing this guy?
Edit: Never Mind, I beat him. But I do have a question. Why is it the first thing Lighting and the gang does when they return to Cocoon is attack motorcycle racers? What a**holes.

Hironobu the dude who created the game said that if ff 7 was remade things would be changed, so if it ever gets made people will bitch. I played the japanese version first when it came out and kept getting stuck where Cloud had to dress up as a girl at the market

Final Fantasy XIII 2 is weird. Its like Mass Effect, Sliders, Back to the Future, and Sudeki all rolled into one. Not saying its a bad thing. I'm actually liking it so far.

You should try Chrono Trigger then if you haven't yet

I'm on the last level of Final Fantasy XIII 2. I'm about ready to rip the hair out off my head. This whole level is nothing but platforming. If I'm not falling off these stupid flying blocks I'm getting attacked by monsters who are pretty powerful. I just want to fight the boss already.

I might do that. Thanks!

I figure I resurrect this thread since I just bought Final Fantasy 9. Heard some good things about this one and I can't wait to try it. I skipped 8 for now because I seen footage of people drawing magic and it looks like a terrible grind (Can't believe I spelled it grinned). I'm one of those guys that that not only do I want to kick ass but I want to do it as quickly as possible.
With that said I am ready to play FF9.

9 is a fantastic game, and 8's drawing system literally makes me not like the game - good choice skipping it IMO.
The only problem I have with 9 is that it's shorter than the other PS1 FF games, and that the combat meter fills SLOWWWWWW. It feels like your mind is going to explode by the time you can choose another attack, even when you put the combat speed at full.
