What an episode! Holy shit. Absolutely GUTTED about Oenomaus losing an eye though, he's always been the best fighter out of them all, and that big assed Egyptian guy schooled him. Pissed me off a bit actually, hope he gets 'Vengeance' in the finale. Such good tv.
Starting to get good now. I was 4 episodes behind and finally got around to watching this weekend. Watched them back to back. Some pretty gruesome stuff in this show. Finally getting used to the new guy.

The fact that Andy Whitfield was pleased with the actor choice and gave his blessing helps a lot. I miss Andy, but the new guy is a great second choice. Just needs to put some muscle on!
**** THEM for killing off Oenomaus They could of AT LEAST had him kill the Egyptian as well as being killed by him. I hated that. Apart from that, what an amazing finale.
Yes it was an epic finale, can't wait for them to get all the way through. Plenty of shitty moments in that episode, but at least something truly awesome made up for them...
i really liked asher guess i was the only one, no clue why they killed asher or onemeious, i think the show will be worse with out them (also would not of minded mira living too)

Asher was a great villain. You really wanted to see him get it, but at the same time realize how much of void it would leave in the show.
I haven't really listened to any news on the show, but this seemed like a series Finale. With all the characters they killed off I assumed it was over. Supposed to be more huh?

It was only a season finale. The 3rd (kind of fourth, with Gods of the Arena mini series) will be out next year I think.
I do understand why they killed off Oenomaus, historically he was one of the first to die (he was also a Gaul...but nevermind that lol), but they made him look quite weak in the final two episodes, when in the rest of the show he was built up to be god like in combat, and then this Egyptian guy that doesn't even speak destroys him twice with ease. Didn't like it at all. Oh well, at least the actor is going to True Blood now so we can still watch him
Felt that the season wasn't as exciting as S1 and Gods of arena, but this finale made up to it. It was really good.
Too bad each season only has 10 episodes.
Anyway, now that it's over, perhaps the thread title can be corrected? This was Season 2.

if i put season two there would of been confusion on which season i was talking about by some, me putting season 3 although wrong, took out that confusion
