Did I miss a scene in ep 9 where Sansa decides to stay?
I actually remember the scene in the book better, but I think she told him her place was there or something to that effect. He walked out she didn't go with him.

Just now got around to watch this episode. They could have done a lot worse with this, let me say that. I really liked how it didn't feature anything else then the Blackwater. Sure, there could have been more battle, but for what it was, a TV show on a major american network, I thought it was great. I don't know, seeing the Hound cut some jabroni in two with a single stroke of his sword got my nerd boner going.
1. Davos survived, his son(s) did not.
2. Yep, Tywin wed Margaery to Joffrey, and with her he got all the might of Highgarden.
3. On Cersei's orders.
4. He is scared of fire after what the Mountain did to him as a kid. Also he cannot stand Joffrey, he never could, and decided he would just bail.
5. Shit... I don't remember. Anyone know?
6. I guess so. It seems like it might get a bit anticlimatcic after this one. We'll see.
Thanks for the heads up. Havn't seen the last episode believe it or not. Will do so, soon. Stopped by a bookstore the other day and holy craps...each of Martin's books in the series is like 1,000 pages!!!
Anyways I'm on my Sopranos marathon right now. It's too depressing to think we have to wait another six or twelve months for the next season of the Game Of Thrones!

Once you start reading the books, you'll wish they were longer
Loved the finale. It's going a bit further from the books than I remember, but so far it's working. They're only slight changes that don't really affect the main story (although I'm not sure about what happened to Xaro Xhoan Daxos quite honestly... that could prove problematic later in the series)

That's hardback I take it then? I have them in pocket and I'm pretty sure SOS is the only one who breaks a 1000 pages.
As much as I love Game of Thrones, Sopranos is way better and the greatest television show ever made.

why didn't the Stark children seek out the Northerners who had Winterfell surrounded?
I was confused as well. It was completely different in the books. The character that sacked and burned Winter fell isn't in the TV series. It's Roose Bolton's Bastard son.
After the Iron men knocked out Theon and and said let's go home, I figured they had decided to leave Winterfell standing which was a departure from the book. Then later it shows Winterfell sacked and burned, I wondered my self who did it. Also how did the Iron men go home, they were surrounded, weren't they?

Yah I made a whole post and somehow didn't show up. Oh wellz...what Term said should be right. I'd say there's been a bit of double/triple crossing going on.
SPOILER:
For those who've seen it already...wasn't this scene bad ass...lolz! There needs to be 20 episodes per season.

Kinda lackluster final episode to be honest, I knew all along when episode 9 was titled "Blackwater" that it would be the big one, but this still didn't really deliver like I would have hoped. I wasn't terribly impressed by the cliffhanger either, even though it caught me a little bit by surprise, seeing at that doesn't happen until the prologue in Storm of Swords. If they do a "Sam passed out because of the fear and when he wakes up in a couple of hours the Battle of the Fist of the First Men is over" I'm gonna be really pissed. That was one of my favorite battles in the books, and deserves to be played out on screen.
Ser Loras asking Joffrey to marry Margaery strikes me as quite the plot hole. So Mace Tyrell sent his entire army with Tywin Lannister out of the kindness of his heart, without any promises of marriage? Seems hard to believe. Ser Loras should just have asked for a place in the Kingsguard.

This isn't really a spoiler anymore. Even though Ramsay Bolton to the best of my knowledge never was shown on GoT, he was mentioned several times, and as late as episode 8, Robb gave the go ahead for Ramsay to take back Winterfell from Theon.
The burning question is an interesting one, it would really make sense for both parties to burn Winterfell. You have to remember the Boltons are conspiring with Tywin Lannister at this point, and with a burned Winterfell, the Dreadfort is one of the strongest holds in the north. The Ironborn I believe ran to Deepwood Motte, or Torrhen's Square, or were they slayed by Ramsay, I can't remember, SHIT! I gotta read the books again.
Theon being clocked I thought was a bit lame, I could see it coming from a mile away when he started his speech. Another negative by doing it this way is that you know he will be back at some point. In the book you could easily believe he was dead, and it brought that much more excitement to his return (which is one of the greatest chapters in all the books, masterful writing).
On another note Robb marrying the girl which name I can't remember I liked, and I understand why they did it this way, and not like the books, which does seem a bit random. It still does the trick and sets up the RW. OH BABY!!!
All in all I enjoyed the season very much, it's at least on par with season 1 and I'd say it's slightly better even. To the one who said the next season should have 20 episodes, you're dreams might very well come true. I would have to think they would do atleast 15. That book is PACKED.

What I have read is Storm of Swords will get 20 episodes, but it will be two 10 episode seasons.
