Makes sense as the book was split into two. They'll probably do 20 episodes for Feast of Crows/Dance of Dragons, as even though technically that's three books (for paperback) they take place within the same time frame.

Storm of Swords is definitely the busiest book.

Really wanted to see Roose, but guess we'll be waiting until book 3. The RW will be, if done right, some of the greatest 'OMFG SHIT' tv, especially for those that don't know what RW stands for

luckbox - About the Tyrell's arrival, the way I saw it was the marriage was promised, and all that talk was for the other people in the room, to spread word that the King didn't break the betrothal to Sansa without say so from the Gods, and that he isn't an oathbreaker. Officially it was all said and done, and all that asking from Loras and hesitation from Joffrey was just playing the Game for the watchers.

Sansa's reaction struck me as weird also. I know she's a naive little girl in the books, but I can't remember her being THAT naive?

You're absolutely right, I'm abit ashamed that went over my head on first watch. Upon rewatch I got it.

so... HBO has apologized for putting George Bush's head on a stick. They said it wasn't personal, they simply used all the heads they could find.

Did someone mention that they have a small budget?

You think most shows buy every prop new for that specific production?

You know I remember seeing that, but I didn't really think about it...haha.

Wow...so they are doing 20 episodes. What a wicked show! Next season is gonna make people poo poo in their pants.
With so many shows and films out there now it's tough to surprise people, but Martin does shit that just shocks you. I never would have thought they would have offed Ned in the first season and that's pretty tame considering...

Very dark and twisted show with a rich story and colorful characters. Each capable of having their own show really...

Anybody know if this is still on going. How many books in the series...

Marcus Aurelius: Tell me again, Maximus, why are we here?
Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

There are currently 5 books in the series, with books 3 and 5 being so large they're split (paperback only) into 2 books each. Books 4 and 5 take place during the same period of time, but from different character perspectives. There are a planned 7 books total.

Posted twice and both times it never registered. This is the third time...lolz! Basically that's gonna take us seven + two more years of watching this on TV. Cool...haha! Longest running HBO show.

It's going to be extremely intense this up and coming season. I can't say I'm too surprised anymore with the content on tv these days, but I was shocked with what I read. The vigil for the Boltons is definitely some medieval stuff. I'm actually pretty intrigued about how Daenerys Targaryen is going to do. She played a minor character originally then really stepped up.

Sounds like Martin is a bit slow in writing these. They are worried the show might catch up with him. He doesn't look like a young man either.

if Martin continues at this pace, the next entry, The Winds of Winter, will be released after the seventh season of the HBO series

Reminds me of Robert Jordan who straight up died before Wheel of Time came to anything approaching a satisfying conclusion.

I think Martin has a better chance of finishing his saga though.
