By far the best episode of the season so far. The scene with Cat and Littlefinger was proper greatness, amazing acting from both parts. Another great moment was when Tywin rode in to Harrenhall. Love the actor, he really has that presence about him.

Glad you mentioned that scene. I think Lady Stark should win an Emmy. Her emotions resonate throughout the series, but especially in that scene. Powerful stuff!
Gotta give it up to the producers for selecting various camera shots and angles to get the most out of every scene. Of course the casting is pretty dead on. So many unique characters. Littlefinger is still a prick and Joffrey reminds me of a kindergarten version of Commodus in Gladiator.
They'd better finish up this series with five+ seasons or however many there are.

If they finish the tv series before the book story line ends, it'll be the biggest F up in tv history.
Harrenhal looked incredible. Nothing like I'd pictured it in the books, but so much better.
Cat is fantastic, I can't wait to see her...later on.
Yeah the casting is phenomenal, only 2 characters I feel don't fit and that's Stannis and The Mountain, but not so much that it ruins anything for me.

I've watched every episode in both seasons (that have aired so far) and I am still not convinced I am 'in to it'. Normally I'd be mega hooked by now but I still feel like they havent explained enough of what the hell is going on.
I have the book, but not read it yet.

I've actually been wondering how the hell non book readers actually follow this show.
It's very complex and in depth, and tbh you're only getting about 30% compared to the books, they simply cannot fit enough into a 10 hour season to give you the full story and character development.
Give the books a go man, if you don't enjoy the show more having read them I'll be stupidly surprised.

I'm definately gonna read the books (at least the first one) and then rewatch the whole 2 series. I know for a fact Ive missed out on loads of back story that would make it so much better.

I am currently reading the first book and then going and watching the first season. It does fill in a lot of gaps and gives a much better understanding of all that is going on. They changed a few things around but nothing that really changes the story line.
I almost want to wait until I get to the books of the second season before I continue watching, but I don't think I can.

Lolz...the last time I watched LOTR part I, ended up reading all three books and took me a month. Might end up reading the books anyways...but I had to KNOW what happened to each character. It's amazing how an individual can conjure up such a vivid imagination.

Another very good episode. Not the most action filled but a very important one, plot wise. Like the other great HBO series, the real strong points is the writing and the character pool. The scene with Tyrion, Bronn and the alchemist was great. Charles Dance is amazing as Tywin, easily my favorite character/actor on the show.
If I had to pick up on something I don't quite like it's the Tyrell's. They are trying to make out as if Margaery is some kind of a player, when she really is not. She is a pawn. As for her brother, he has been presented as too dull and weak so far. They should roughen him up a bit and make him more believable as the prodigy Knight he is in the books.
Only minor complaints though. The show is delivering the goods, and I can't wait for next week.
