Why did they see a need to make him gay. I have read the first book and only started the second. Maybe something in the second book refers to the relationship between he and Renly Baratheon, but unless I missed something in the first book he seemed to be a ladies man. Well, he was really only mentioned in the hand's tourney if I remember right. I guess because he is the Knight of flowers that makes him gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

The Loras-Renly relationship has been really played up from book to show but Margaery is definitely not a pawn as she proves in later books. Don't wanna get into spoilers but she definitely has her eyes on the prize and will do anything to get it.
Margaery vs Cersei catfight is epic.

As I was reading more of the synopsis I began to realize how twisted this series is. Just the way I like it. Everyone and everybody suffers in their own way and go through a great deal of hardship. No wonder they called it the dark ages...
There's so many various plots interwoven with one another. Danaerys has actually peaked my interest a lot more now with her babies. Pretty cool stuff!
They've introduced a ton of new characters this season. Anyone else thought that the high priestess was Melisandre.

I never noticed the gaydom in the books either. Maybe I skipped those parts and didn't realize it but there weren't any bj's that's for sure.
Sort of screwed up that they made the Knight of Flowers a queer since he kicks so much ass later on. When reading the book I thought I was reading about the wrong guy

She is?
The Renly/Loras was subtley insinuated in the books, nothing was ever said outright though. Loras was a ladies man in the respect that he was supposedly extremely handsome, so the ladies flocked to him.
How, in the series, they decided to make them have a gay relationship, but not even MENTION the fact that Renly's Kingsguard was called the freakin RAINBOW GUARD is beyond me. Come on people
Very weird seeing Tywin/Arya interecting as well, they never even met in the books.

In A Clash Of Kings she wasn't a player at all. Mace Tyrell married her away to Renly and she didn't have any say in the matter. She tries to become a player later on in the books, but imo she never is. A player that is being played is not a player. There are only a handful of players in the Seven Kingdoms.

Thank you K R Y. I've just realized how much I don't remember from the books. That's good in a way, as it's adds a lot of value to the rereading. One more thing.
