Big Arms, but Bench So little.

Alright, Well I have an odd kind of question.

Well my arms are pretty big, and I'm not fat.
I'm 5'11 165

Everyone always asks me how much I bench, and it's like average to everyone to my high school, even if their arms are tiny to me. I only bench 135, is it based on like your Biceps? because I think the size of my arms are due to my triceps, but shouldn't that help me bench more?

Anyways, I can kill LAT pulls, and stuff like that. It's just benching is difficult to me.

MMA training in my garage

Im trying to get back into my MMA after some time off due to a couple of different injuries in rugby. Its a little awkward though as i work shift so cant commit to going to the fighting gym just yet until the shifts finish.

So i was thinking of doing a load of work in my garage. Ive got quite a lot of equipment in there already and was wondering if any one knew of a routine i could do down there.

*Equipment: *
5ft - 8 stone punch bag
Floor to ceiling ball
Speed ball
Uppercut shield attached to the wall (http://www.protecboxing.com/acatalog/SUPALIGHT-BUMP-sml.gif)
Skipping rope
Press up bars (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41AT1EMN5SL._SL500_AA280_.jpg)
5kg medicine ball
Pull up bar
Weights - dumbbells and barbells
Static bike

Would any one of any routines i could do down the garage? Was thinking of doing some kind of circuit but was unsure. Any help would be superb and much appreciated

Many thanks

Alright, so I was recommended SuperPump 250 by the GNC Manager, saying he has been selling it like toys.

So, I have some questions.
If you have taken it, Do you think it's better then N.O. Explode? I've heard it was.

Also; Any bad side effects you've had?
I'm not a big fan of creatine, but it has some in it. I still want to try it.

Alright, Thanks in advance.

Starting MMA in December, Need Help Now

Hello everyone,

Okay so here is the situation I am in right now. Financially I am not stable enough to train in a gym so until December I need to train from home to get into better shape and learn some techniques.

So I am asking you as a community to help me out, first I would like to get a weekly training routine planned out so if I could get a few people to help me out I think I could piece one together nicely.

So here is the deal, I am 5'8 and 155 lbs (Lightweight :)) and I am looking to cut about 15 lbs of fat and then gain 15 lbs of muscle back after. So for the first few weeks I will be sticking with a plan to help me cut weight and seriously help me get into shape (Desperately need help getting in shape)

This is what I need:

-Provide me with good workouts
-Provide me with nutrition advice
-Any type of training videos for Shadow boxing - BJJ would help
-Even some good workout music to add to my iPod.

Anyway you can help would be greatly appreciated. Come on guys, help a desperate guy out :)

Strained back from BJJ?

This has been going on for months but it's only really gotten bad in the last 2 weeks. I'll move a certain way and the muscles in my lower/mid back will feel like a jolt of electricity went through them. It causes a fair amount of pain; the best description I can give is that it feels like a muscle cramp but it only lasts for a second (unless I keep my body in the position that aggravates it). What worries me is that it used to happen a couple times a week where I'd be like "Oh my back is just tight cause I got stacked the other night," but now it's happening numerous times throughout the day.

I did a Google search and got this article [HERE (http://onthemat.com/articles/Back_Pain_in_MMA_01_29_2008.html)] which leads me to believe it's some kind of back strain. It has made me a lot more hesitant during the more physically demanding drills, and in rolling I usually just ask my opponent if he/she wants to work on something because I don't wanna roll hard and make it worse.

Has anyone had this before? And if so, got any tips or treatments?
