Here's the gear I already have or I have ordered and is en route to my house:

Hostility fight shorts (pinstripe = pimpin).
Hayabusa Pro MMA gloves
Shock Doctor Compression Shorts w/ cup
Mouth Guard (boil & bite style from Wal-Mart, very temporary)

Now I'm going to order a good rashguard or two, should I get gloves just for bag work or will the Hayabusa gloves work for basically everything? Also is there anything else anyone can suggest to get? i take a lot of water and some protein bars for post training/workout.

a BETTER mouth guard !

I am a Dentist with a passion for MMA. Understanding that the mouth guard is one of the most important pieces of equipment for the mixed martial artist, I have decided to redesign and develop a mouth guard based on science and the SPECIFIC need of the MMA fighter. The guards out there, in my opinion, have been developed not with the the MMA fighter in mind but rather for football..hockey or other sports and then simply been adopted to the MMA fighter community with fancy colors and verbiage. It is time for somebody to take a serious look into the needs and requirements of guards for MMA fighters. I am here to enlist your help! I am looking for feedback on things you like about your guard...things you don't like. Things you think could make a mouth guard better.. the more information I can gather the better the prototypes and faster we can get this out there. Please note that I am not here to compete with the boil and bite guards or the simple vacuum form "custom" guards spammed all over the Internet. I am looking to develop a truly MMA specific masterpiece that will be custom made specific for each fighter taking into consideration each fighter unique upper AND LOWER TEETH ( the only way to properly balance a guard is to have an impression of the lower teeth as well FYI)fighting style and numerous other characteristics. Beyond the protecting the TMJ, Teeth and minimizing concussions a kip guard should be able to increase stamina balance and yes even increase you chances of not being knocked out. IRON CHIN. Down the road we will also require some fighters to test some of our concepts. If you are interested e-mail me KAI at kipgear@gmail.com ! I hope this post sparks some feedback as we are serious about making the sport of MMA safer ... more competitive ..and increasing YOUR potential to get that edge.

Sup, I'm Rob and I'm 15 years old.

Me and my mate are starting MMA at a club called Caged Steel at the begining of december. We have both loved fighting for ages and we enjoy watching UFC on TV.

I have 11 years of karate experience, 6 years of kickboxing experience and 2 years boxing experience. My mate has 6 years of taikwondoe experience.

I'm setting up a gym in my garage where I will work out, train with my friend and practice before fights, but I need to know what to include in the gym and the things that i need to work out on (ie. Shoulders, Abs, Arms etc.)

I also need to learn about food supplements and diets, training routines and the things I need before starting (ie. shorts, gloves)

If you can help me with these or give me any advice about starting MMA it will be appriciated.

MMA Training gear

Hey everyone.
Ok as you all can see its my first comment/thread in this forum so i hop its in the right forum.

I need to buy an mma gloves for training, and i have 2
choices:

1.warrior
http://www.warriorwearclothing.com/item.asp?ID=239

2.hayabusa
http://www.mmawarehouse.com/Hayabusa-Hybrid-MMA-Gloves-p/hay-1016.htm
or
http://www.mmawarehouse.com/Hayabusa-Pro-MMA-Gloves-Black-or-White-p/hay-1001.htm

But before you advising I want you to consider 2 things:

A. I heard that warrior gear is falling apart realy quickly(from 1 man so i dont know if to belive), but haybusa is better as far as i know though it cost more and I loved warrior gloves look better then the hayabusa.

B. The site I gave here is not where im gona buy from, Im gona buy from somone who imports equips to my country(not u.s lol)

C.Im also gona buy shin gaurds with the glove

So to include:
*which gloves and shins is better for me, warrior or haybusa(im training for a month but please dont offer other gloves cuase thats what is selling in my area)

*is somone here exprienced with warrior gloves/equipments and is it realy falling apart?

*if you say hayabusa should i take the first per of gloves or the second, they are diffrent as far as I can see.

thank you, ROEE
