Jeff Monson wants Fedor Emelianenko
Fresh off a win over Sergei Kharitonov at Dream 8 UFC veteran Jeff Monson wants a shot at Fedor according to Fighters Only
Monson (30-8) has won six straight fights since last May including a controversial unanimous decision over former IFL champ Roy Nelson at March Badness.
“My goal in DREAM is to fight the best. Ultimately, I want to fight Fedor. If DREAM could set that up it would be great,” said Monson. If the fight took place it would have to be with Affliction.
Monson was a former #1 contender in the UFC and lost a unanimous decision to Tim Sylvia in November 2006. He has fought a who’s who of MMA and has lost to Josh Barnett, Forrest Griffin, and Chuck Liddell.
Monsons has recently been in legal trouble for spraying graffiti on a federal building in Washington. He is self-proclaimed Anarchist and has spoke out against the war in Iraq.
