Need a new Gi!
just a little background I've been training BJJ for just under 2 years and earned my blue belt about 6 months ago.
When I first started I brought a cheapish BJJ Gi which is getting a little worn out now, I've been looking at getting a new one but all the prices are crazy expensive. I've noticed that in general Judo Gis are far cheaper and was wondering if anyone who rolls has used a Judo Gi before and if Athens heavier feel hinders in any way? |
A guy at my gym uses a judo gi. It is definitely baggier and I really like working my open guard against him, because there is so much there to work with.
I don't do much gi work anymore, but my Howard Combat Kimono has lasted me a couple of years. It was something like $80+ shipping. It's a little on the thick side, but it is super durable and reasonably priced. It felt a little too stiff at first, but once you break it in it's real nice. |
Fuji is trash son.
Tatami is always legit. Koral are good as well. If you want a more budget gi try inverted gear or modern flow. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 |
Ive heard a lot of good things first hand about forca brand gi, check um out. www.forcabrand.com
