muay thai pads or focus mitts?

I was debating between the two. Cant decide if I wanna get the thai pads for kicking or the focus mitts for just punching. Ive been kickboxing for about 2 years and I cant decide. Focus Mitts are a LOT cheaper and I can use my 4 oz gloves when training with them but then I wont get any condiitioning for roudnhouse kicks. If I get the thai pads Im going to be spending a lot more just for allowing kicks. I would probobly use my 14 oz gloves however if i got those pads? Any advice?

ABout the gloves, I'd say over all its probably better to train with your 14 ounces. 4 ounce gloves are not designed for heavy training that I've seen.

I'd go with the pads because if you decide you want to start training knees, kicks and elbows as well as just puches then you have it all in one. It is possible to kick focus mitts but I've only seen Cro Cop do that
