Rubber Mulch as a training ground

OK guys,, what are your thoughts on training on Rubber Mulch? For those who don't know, it is a colored rubber mulch, kind of like wood but made out of rubber, very soft and giving. Marine Corps use it, Several Navy bases as well as many Army bases use it.

I train Combatives (hand, stick, knife) and we train in street cloths including boots, jeans and even winter coats.

Any one out there with experience with it and if so, what are your thoughts.

Sounds good to me. I've used it to make several large sandbags as well. Much easier to clean up.

I would recommend digging a shallow pit first, then fill it with the mulch.
