Wear 'em If You Got 'em!

i personally wouldn't wear them if i didn't train ($50 for a pair of shorts?!) but as mentioned above, if you can wear an nba shirt or a "property of ..." shirt, why not mma gear? i had an inside pocket sewn into my tapout trunks so i can wear them as casual wear and no one has ever asked where i train.

i guess its okay to understand that if its a UFC shirt or a PRIDE shirt, its reasonable to assume that the person is a fan, an observer or one who attended an event and got a souveneir,

if its sprawl, nogi, koral, i tend to be drawn to them because i like talking about gi's and fight shorts, gloves and cups... the people who have tried them make me a smarter buyer for equipment i need or am looking forward to purchasing for training.

This sounds alot like one of those non skateboarders wearing skate gear conflicts in a way. The ppl that don't skate would be the poseur where the skater has earned the right by injury and practice. The whole outlook really depends on who you ask. I agree with zderekv in the fact that I wouldn't buy it all if I didn't take part in it. But I also agree with wukkadb in the fact that it's just pumping more ppl and money into MMA as a whole and just pushing the sport further everyday.

Some guy I saw at my school's weightroom was wearing a tapout t-shirt today. I asked him where he trained and he didn't know what I was talking about. I think that wearing MMA clothes like that should be seen as an open invitation for anyone to throw down, at any time. Next time you see someone in a tapout t-shirt, shoot for a take down

I think everyone should be able to wear MMA clothing. If you support the sport and want to wear mma clothing then go for it. It doesn't hurt anybody.

I would wear something with the ufc logo on it for example, but not sprawl b/c i don't do any grappling.

I'd wear the everlast logo, b/c I do train boxing, but not fairtex or windy, b/c i have done no kickboxing sparring.

It's a fine line, I guess. I'd feel like an idiot if I knew nothing about the sport/brand whose logo I was wearing.
