Etiquette
i was at a very well known muay thia camp for a while but due to their limited program times and my very busy schedule (wife and 3 kids, 2 oldest are in school m-f and dance all day saturday, oldest takes karate 4 days a week, the other's 15 months old ... DADDY'S VERY BUSY) i've had to leave because of time conflicts. however, the dojo where my daughter takes karate teaches muay thai and bjj, so i'm taking these classes 4 - 5 days a week as they run immediately after my daughter's karate classes.
now, my question is: i have some trunks with the name of the other muay thai camp across them and they're all i really have for good kickboxing shorts. is it disrespectfull to wear those at my new mt/bjj gym? |
Quickest way to find out is to ask the person who's in charge if it would be considered disrespectful. Some places don't care, while others consider it a cardinal sin. Take a moment or two to clarify it with the guy in charge and that should get you an answer while sparing you from any possible conflicts.

are they direct competitors?
in many gyms it would be a big problem if they are within the same city or county.. but if they have not even heard of each other yet, i dont think they will mind... best way to go is ask fellow practitioners.. |

Just ask the person in charge.

Ask before they get really mad.
