i'm thinkin about getting a pair of my own shin pads for muay thai sparring.

Nationman Shin Guards Blue [NTM-730-BLU] | Muay Thai Stuff - Thaiboxing Products Shorts Gloves Equipments

^^
i was wondering if those were reliable seeing as they're $30
just looking for some advice.
if this isn't what i should be looking for, then i'll be buying Fairtex shin pads.

Well they're only $21.36 at the moment. But they're the kind of shinguards I use UNDER my big ones. It offers more protection and at that price you may as well

those are coming from the u.k. so if you're in the states you can expect to pay as much in shipping charges as you do for the guards themselves, not to mention delivery time. i bought a pair of tittle shin guards from tittlemma.com for about $20 that work just fine. it only cost about $8 for shipping and i had them in 3 days (i'm in boston). look around and ask the guys at your gym what they use. you can't go wrong (imho) with fairtex products.
