That particular one you've put up is more for full-contact karate or TKD. I agree with traf, I would go with a more standard boxing style set of head gear. If you are really concerned about cuts, you can go with a facesaver style setup (like this
) or one with a full cage (like this one here
). They also have full-face styles that cover the chin (like this one
- which is actually a great deal on the price).
One thing you have to keep in mind with head gear is that it won't prevent you from getting knocked out. It is primarily there to prevent getting cut or busted open during training. So don't forget to move your head.
