yo i personally go with the boxing headgear from that site.....it's what i've been using for a while now....it's the style a lot of mma gyms wear and it's featured on The Ultimate Fighter......as for full headgear i know that century makes a boxing headgear with a front cage on it that's pretty dec....it feels like shit to wear it though since you can't see anything

That particular one you've put up is more for full-contact karate or TKD. I agree with traf, I would go with a more standard boxing style set of head gear. If you are really concerned about cuts, you can go with a facesaver style setup (like this) or one with a full cage (like this one here). They also have full-face styles that cover the chin (like this one - which is actually a great deal on the price).

One thing you have to keep in mind with head gear is that it won't prevent you from getting knocked out. It is primarily there to prevent getting cut or busted open during training. So don't forget to move your head.

Yeah. Well a bunch of us from my Kung Fu school are pushing for more full contact sparring with gloves, some padding. I saw some of the full head gear and figured that the full gear would make some of those who aren't used to getting hit yet feel more comfortable when the first start hard sparring.

Frankly, I would just prefer to go back to the bare knuckle days. But thats because I am a little crazy.

I personally only us a full head gear when I'm about a month away from a fight and don't want to go into it with a broken nose or cuts. Other then that I use a comp. amueter boxing headgear when sparring.

I used to use full head gear equiptment from my gym, but now I don't have time, what with finals and all. They're the best way to spar hardcore, and it makes it much more fun since ur not worried about injuring your friend.
The gear we used has the mask-type face guard.
