why drain it? Cauliflower ears are trophies that last forever. If anyone ever doubts you ass kicking abilities you always have something show for!

Because they make your ears look hideous. Why be hideous through choice?

I'd definitely recommend letting your Doctor handle that.

I had a friend who had his ears keep getting thick after practice. He was bothered by it so I told him I would pop them and push out the blood. I tried a small sewing awl but he kept pulling away and hollering like a little girl. I got an exacto knife and put a 1/4 inch cut in his ear and pushed all the dark blood out and got it thin again.
If we would have used some type of compression I think it would have stayed thin, but we didnt so it just filled back up and was thick again the next day.

I have seen doctors draining ears with needles after matches but I was not close enough to know the size of the needle. I think if you want to do it yourself the pharmacy would give you any size needle you want.
