I had the same thing. I used an Arnica cream which helped a little (I think!) - but the main thing is togive it time to recover.

tnx wozza. i've been doing hot and cold treatment for a week now and applying bengay for it to heal. i will definitely try anica cream.

but does anyone know if there's a gear that will protect my toes while grappling. i'm not sure if those ballers finger wraps will work and if there's something like that that is meant for toes. thanks!

sry for the late response it might have healed but this is for future injuries to, u might have gotten a turk toe injury it happens when the ligaments in ur big toe are torn either by over stretching the toe or putting pressure on it. maybe ur toe was caught on the matt and someone landed on the back of ur calf. i had this injury a while ago and it takes time to heal. what u can get is a turf toe insole- basically a metal sheet that goes underneath the padding in ur shoe, it doesnt allow for as much pressure to be put on the toe. i got one through my high school trainer im sure they r on the internet somewhere but just start wearing shoes for a while instead of barefoot as much as u can hope this helps

Agree w/MMA_76 on the shoes. I wear wrestling shoes anytime I injure a toe/ankle.
