I love them... well not to wear but when I see guys in dojo's wearing the ufc gloves i instantly know it would be so easy to roll with them and completely dominant.

but i'm not a bully and i just let them get owned by someone else.

Girlfriend bought me a pair of the red ufc training gloves for valentines. Think mine might be a bit small for me and a very rarely use them. But when i have used them on the bags i've got most of the skin from the middle of my fingers taken off. (might say something about my punching technique though)just below where the pading ends on most of the finger joints. Was ok when was doing Mitt work however.

Personally just use my 14oz gloves for most striking we do, cos can full contact spar with them too.
If you dont need them i wouldn't waste the money. As SteSteez said you tend to look a bit of a tool and if you want a small glove there are plenty that fit the hand better for striking. They are quite good to grapple in though, if you moxing up grappling and striking. Anyway thats what i've found.

Appreciate the input fellas.

So what im getting at is that the comfort of the glove is great.

but how is the contact? they say it feels like a pillow when you make contact with the glove.

Is that the kind of feel that most professional fighters perfer?

Again thanks for your input. and keep them comming.

feel is almost entirely determined by your wrap or tape technique.

the official UFC fight gloves are of high quality but are far too expensive.

so.. fighters would not pay a premium on better material?

how is the padding on the ufc glove?

I thought the sole purpose for an mma glove..was just to protect the knuckles?

let me know if im wrong or if anyone else has additional input.

thanks.

it is to protect your hand. In conjunction with proper wrapping/taping. if you attempt to just use an MMA glove and hit with any kind of force expect hand injuries quickly.

the padding's fine just like the gloves from every other reputable company.
