I need some help, guys!

Okay, so I'm about to start REALLY training soon, at a reputable place. I need some good mma gloves. Not the Everlast gel ones(I have some), leather, open palm gloves. At this point, I really don't know which gloves are good or bad. I felt some of the official UFC gloves the other day, and the padding felt REALLY hard, so is that how they should be? Please give me some links!

What do you think?

Try these

If you are SERIOUS about training, sign up somewhere.. and your instructor will give you a mandatory list of equipment that you will need for training... depending on what you are doing.. you'll likely need more then one pair of gloves.

Combatsports MMA Training Gloves are awesome gloves for the price and are made for sparring (notice the "front load" design). These are awesome for the price.

Another good candidate is the Top Contender Molded Foam Training Gloves. Again, they are great for sparring, have a killer price, and the IMF molding provides great protection while offering a good amount of tactile feedback and fit.

Most "Official" type gloves are fight gloves that usually weigh in at 2oz less. That comes from padding. All gloves (even the training gloves) are very, very stiff until you break them in. Also, make sure you get a hold of good boxing gloves. Heavy bag and pad work should be kept to a minimum on MMA/Grappling training gloves. They just won't protect your hands as well from the repeated shock.

Include a set of Junior or Kid-sized handwraps to go under the gloves (like these), and you should be set for anything.

It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree... As long as I don't bore you and I spark a moment of thought, my goal is achieved.
