Combatsports MMA Training Gloves
are awesome gloves for the price and are made for sparring (notice the "front load" design). These are awesome for the price.
Another good candidate is the Top Contender Molded Foam Training Gloves
. Again, they are great for sparring, have a killer price, and the IMF molding provides great protection while offering a good amount of tactile feedback and fit.
Most "Official" type gloves are fight gloves that usually weigh in at 2oz less. That comes from padding. All gloves (even the training gloves) are very, very stiff until you break them in. Also, make sure you get a hold of good boxing gloves. Heavy bag and pad work should be kept to a minimum on MMA/Grappling training gloves. They just won't protect your hands as well from the repeated shock.
Include a set of Junior or Kid-sized handwraps to go under the gloves (like these
), and you should be set for anything.
It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree
