I know this has been posted on here a long time ago but didn't have much info.
I am looking for a new mouthguard I have a Shock Doctor Ultra STC. It's ok could be more comfortable and doesn't stick to my upper very well so talking is limited. The biggest problem is when I breathe out hard when throwing a punch or kick.
I have looked at custom pieces but don't want to spend that much right now.

Please post opinions and experiences you have had. I have been looking at other Shock Doctors and Brainpad.

Brainpad and LoPro are both nice mouthguards. I prefer a mouthguard that protects top and bottom teeth and gums. I have bad allergies and had a deviated septum and needed a tight fit and the means to breath through my mouth. I had a septioplasty a few months ago and I'm getting back into training and I'm considering switching to a smaller mouthguard. The ventilation is nice for breathing but your sparring partners probably won't appreciate the spray. I would recommend multiple mouthguards for different aspects of MMA. I like a top-only guard for grappling so I can talk easier but for sparring and competition I want something that protects the teeth and jaw.

Thanks. The spray was another thing I was thinking about. I'm not too concerned about a guard for grappling so I will just get a light duty upper for that. I am more concerned with actual comp or sparring.
