Wearing headgear for BJJ
Only one of the guys at my dojo wears it, and that's because he already had them from wrestling. What is your take on them? I'm thinking of buying some because recently my ears have been hurting to the touch because they keep getting smashed and grinded in sparring. If possible, I'd appreciate some recommendations if anyone has a particular set/brand of headgear they really like.
Cheers!

I vote earmuffs. You will psych them out if you show up wearing these.
That's what you get for advertising the thread.
But seriously you can probably get some ear guards for under 20 bucks. I wouldn't bother with expensive ones unless you need them for competition.

Damn those are fly. Contrary to your post though, I'd only buy those if I was going to compete.

I meant that I'd only buy the sexy purple earmuffs if I was going to compete.
I'll probably go for something in the %15-$20 mark on Amazon. Are there sizes or do they fit all?

Pretty sure you can adjust them. Unless you have a small head then get junior lol.
You might want to find a sporting goods store around that sells them and try a few on.

i've heard of incidents in which the headgear moves around and rubs up on the ear or hurts the opponent
but the ones i hear are really good are called brute quad or something, so i'd look into those ;]
