I have a problem. When I'm training in jujitsu, I tend to get a lot of scrapes and cuts on the tops and sides of my feet from the carpet type material I train on. We use this carpet type of material because we train jujitsu and Muay Thai and the carpet makes practicing kicks much easier than the typical foam type wrestling mat.
My question is, what kind of gear would be best to stop getting so many scrapes and cuts on my feet.
I have looked at ankle supports such as the Fairtex ones and Twins ones, but by the pictures I see online, I need something that covers a little lower on the top of my feet.
I know I could get wrestling shoes, but I'd prefer something lighter like a pull over ankle support.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
