Keep getting poked in the eye when sparring

Hey all,

I started MMA training 2 months ago and have been poked in the eye twice. Any suggestions on a head gear that would give a greater degree of eye protection. Its getting annoying now. Thanks all!

what's poking you in the eye? the glove, or finger? is it with only one sparring partner?

Usually sparring with MMA gloves isn't the best idea, unless you are using training gloves. But if you are wearing headgear just use some 16oz boxing gloves, that way you can't get poked in the eye.
