Looking for Diet Tips...

So I just started working the graveyard shift at a hospital and found that I can't keep my Diet under wraps.. Never really had a strickt diet but when I was watching my weight and started training a year ago I lost about 70 pounds. Any tips or tricks you guys can think of would be great!

Main thing is cutting out fast food and unhealthy snacks. Cut out takeaways completely and make all your lunches and dinners yourself. And instead of unhealthy snacks like crisps (potato chips) or chocolate bars, eat lots of fruit & unsalted nuts (almonds & cashews are good). Also try and eat vegetables with every other dinner.

Small things like that make a big difference in the long run.

What mattandbenny said.

Also, if anyone is serious about losing weight, then then first thing I would recommend is cutting out dairy products. Hell, even if you're goal isn't to lose weight I still say cut that out, but that alone should make a big difference.

Also if you dont wanna have a major diet change, small things like eating brown rice, wheat pasta & wholemeal bread instead of normal rice, pasta and white breat will all help. But yea cut out the crap food and eat more fruit & veg!

Like the above post says Wholemeal is the way forward. Typical rule is: if a food is beige it isnt great for you!

Try adding a load of fish to your diet in place of meats too, never hurts.

Dairy products can be a bit fatty, especially cheese. I wouldn't cut it out compeltely as thats a bit drastic, but cut down on cheese & milk, and if your a cheese fan try and eat fresh mozzarella/parmazan instead of the fattier cheeses.

Go to Costco. Buy a big bag of baby carrots, and some little ziploc bags.

Put 1 to 1.5 cups of carrots in each of the bag. Take them to work with you.

Eat a bag before each meal. If you want a snack, eat another bag.

Defecato, ergo sum.

My biggest problems as snacking and putting sauces on everything. Ranch, Ketchup, Honey Mustard erc... Just made whatever I was eating unhealthy.

I replace chips with things like grapes and apples. Another thing to cut out is soda for sure. Just empty calories there.
