Brutal knockout!
Minakov is the 4x winner and reigning champion of the World Sambo Championships in the heavyweight division. He has won it for each of the last 4 years, winning gold in 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011. He trains alongside Bellator/M1 fighter Vyacheslav Vasilevsky. He’s now 8-0 and has finished 7 of his wins in the first round (and 6 of them in less than 70 seconds).
I think we'll be seeing him in UFC/Bellator soon. Only problem is he looks very small and could probably make LHW.

Watched the video, fight shouldn't have been stood up.
Every time I see a video from one of these tiny shows from Russia, Poland, or Japan I always see hints of nationalistic rule bending. The local guys always get things to just happen work in their favor, like scoring or breaks in action.
Even after the break, which appeared to be to check a cut, they should have resumed the fight in side-control instead of standup. I guess he has an impressive record but I can't take a prospect seriously when there's a shady promoter behind them.
I could just be a grouch though.

...Nasty. Dude threw all his body weight into that huge overhand right. Crushing punch to the head. At UFC 67- Cro-Cop's debut beatdown of Sanchez wasn't even close to that ugly knockout...

So we get to see this guy fighting really soon in the USA, sound good. Might give Konrad a run for his money in the longterm. We'll see.
